Not just for flooring, but SCG Smartboard can also be used as subfloor before covering with decorative materials, house renovation and other purposes.

SCG Smartboard for Flooring

        Houses built with light structure (steel structure is currently popular) typically have floor foundation consists of steel beams and battens. SCG Smartboard for flooring is installed on the battens with floor decoration materials as follows

        •   For exterior floor, can cover SCG Smartboard floor with ceramic tiles, Wood-sub floor planks.
        •   For interior floor, various floor materials can apply such as ceramic tiles, laminate floor tiles, SPC floor tiles, soft flooring, or carpets. If decorative floor material is not desired, clean the surface and paint with primer before painting with 2 layers of EPOXY paint (as recommended by the manufacturer) to protect the surface from scratches. 

SCG Smartboard for Flooring for House Construction

        The advantages are reducing weight loads on the structure and slowing down foundation from subsidence, especially when the short foundation piles are used. The application is the same as normal flooring application, which is installing SCG Smartboard on beams and battens before installing floor decoration materials.

SCG Smartboard as a Subfloor

        SCG Smartboard can be installed on top of the reinforced concrete floor or on the steel battens depending on the application.

        •   Install SCG Smartboard on the concrete floor before installing floor decoration materials. SCG Smartboard will level floor surface before installing other materials such as laminate floor tiles, soft flooring, or carpets. Some materials may require other floor layer materials such as foaming layer depending on the manufacturer.

        •   Install SCG Smartboard for flooring before installing SCG Smartwood Floor Plank for outdoor application. For installing SCG Smartwood Floor Plank higher than 50 cm from the ground. (such as upper floor’s balcony), install SCG Smartboard on the battens before installing SCG Smartwood Floor planks on top.

SCG Smartboard for House Renovation

        From extending your living area to the balcony, expanding your bathroom, or raising the floor level to organize your space; SCG Smartboard for flooring is your solution.

        •   Extending your room by turning your balcony’s floor into you room’s floor. Install steel battens to level your floor to your desire before installing SCG Smartboard as flooring.

        •   Expand your bathroom. Build concrete curb to separate the wet area. Raise the floor level and expand it into the new bathroom area. Install the steel frame and install SCG Smartboard. Install waterproof rubber sheet before installing bathroom tiles, including on the curb.

        •   Raise the lower floor level for any purposes such as avoiding flood or solving damp ground issue. Install SCG Smartboard to the desired level before installing floor decoration materials. In case of solving damp ground issue, it is recommended to drill the wall beneath and install a grill to ventilate air and moisture.
